Meet The Teacher

 

 My name is Teshawn Banks, and I am excited to be your child's gifted support teacher. I am married with two beautiful children. During my spare time, I love reading, shopping and traveling. This is my first year at Hickory Flat Elementary School and my 18th year in education. 

I have a dual degree in general education/ special education from Mercer University as well as a Masters in Education from Walden University, and an Ed. S from Walden University as well, along with a Gifted Endorsement, Math Endorsement, Teacher Leader Endorsement, and a Coaching Endorsement. 

It is my belief that every child deserves the opportunity to be taught in a class with professionalism, trust, and respect. Therefore, I am committed to ensuring that every child in my class will have the opportunity to succeed in school!
